TECHNOLOGY CLASSES
Twin Lakes Technology provides an integrated course schedule of learning through exploration, scrutiny, and self-reflection. In every class, our teachers emphasize the strategies and processes involved in learning and self-growth, creating a unique opportunity to prepare our students to live intelligent, thoughtful, and fulfilling lives in a rapidly changing society. COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY
An Exceptional Learning Experience
Communications technology affects all aspects of our lives in a fundamental way. Having an understanding of communications technology is an important part of being both technologically and media literate. Communications technology courses are project-based and will provide students with opportunities to acquire the knowledge and skills required to design, use, and manage electronic, live, recorded, and graphic communications systems, specifically in the areas of TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; and interactive new media and animation. These courses will help students understand the effects of communications technology on the environment and society. Students will also examine standards and regulations governing communications technology, health and safety issues, careers in the field, and the importance of lifelong learning, and will learn about the Essential Skills and work habits that are important for success in careers in the field.

Transportation Technology at Twin Lakes Secondary gives students a real world view at life in the Automotive Service Technician world. Offering experiences from grade 9 right through to grade 12, this course focuses on exposing all sectors of the industry such as repair, sales, finance, business and engineering. Course experiences will range year to year based on student interest and industry progression.

Other notable experiences consist of the Entrepreneurial Adventure (Learning Partnership) Twin Lakes Auto competes in raising money for local charity. Combining education with community. CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY
An Exceptional Learning Experience
Enroll in our hands-on, innovative class for intermediate and advanced students. Our qualified and experienced teachers serve as facilitators of the learning process. Instead of simply lecturing, they guide students by helping make sense of course materials, encouraging them to ask questions and explore solutions, and promoting the use of resources outside of the classroom.
